bazinga – 1. A catchy phrase to accompany your clever pranks. As popularized by Sheldon Cooper (The Big Bang Theory). 2. A short post highlighting something that Emma and Kelly think is freaking fabulous.
It’s been a long time since my last Bazinga post, but I saw this tonight and couldn’t resist. Emma concurred.
This pattern is called The Knitorius RBG, and is designed by Park Williams:

The description on the Ravelry pattern page states:
“The RBG sweater is inspired by Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I wanted to find a way to honor the important work she has done and continues to do as a Supreme Court Justice, while also paying homage to her amazing collar collection. My hope is this sweater will endow the wearer with the strength, perseverance, gravitas, and integrity we so rightfully associate with The Knitorious RBG.”
I love this. It is a win in every way:
- Ruth Bader Ginsburg! (Need I say more…)
- The collar!
- The sweater is lovely!
- $2 from every pattern goes to the ACLU!
BAZINGA!
Oh, love the inspiration and the collar!
I thought it was pretty cool. I love RBG and hope she can hold on for a long time.
I am counting on her hanging in there at least a few more years!
That’s awesome!
Totally….
Bazinga AND whoo-hoo!
Well said!
The sleeves are gorgeous and very trendy. Lovely pattern!
It’s funny; I just recently posted about big sleeves and how annoying they are – you can’t put on your coat, etc. But I love these sleeves.
Very cool sweater, and a great inspiration 🙂
Agreed.
That is the lovliest sweater I have ever seen. I am finishing up my sister’s shawls and my mom’s. I hope to feel confident enough in my knitting skills to attempt this sweater! I am self taught after having paid for knitting lessons to be told by the instructor I was ” unteachable” . I found a knitting book complete with needles in the children’s clearance section of our local book store and just sat down to learn by myself. I have knitted several projects since them. My first was an afghan with multiple cables ( the lack of knitting wisdom is self evident) but,I finished it and it is beautiful. My husband treats it as a prized possession. But to attempt & achieve knitting a sweater such as this one is a dream for me! Thanks for sharing it.
I love it too. The collar is just fabulous.
