I guess it wasn’t enough said; I inadvertently gave the wrong impression. I love both yarn and pattern, but I messed up the raglan shaping and had to rip out about 3″. I just set myself back a few days.
Too bad, but better than the mismatch I’d assumed.

I can relate …. Just finished ripping out my 2nd project with the same yarn! I have now decided to knit Rebecca Clow’s Firth using my West Yorkshire Spinners Bluefaced Leicester DK. I am determined to finish a sweater with this lovely yarn that I bought during a Knitting Retreat in Edinburgh Oct/25!
Oh no. I bought the yarn originally to make a Sari Nordlund tee, and then realised I’d have to buy the whole book to get the pattern. Then I was going to knit Rebecca’s Staffin Light before deciding on the Silfurberg. I think the yarn could use a greater ratio of wool to cotton, but I am withholding judgement. Good luck with your Firth.
So I’ll say the more-than-enough: not the perfect pattern for this yarn?

😬
Oh no!! Although as my husband pointed out “You get to play with your yarn more.”
Oh no! But it is for the best if you really didn’t like how it was working up. It will turn into something even better soon!
