A movie about a herd of sheep who try to solve the murder of their herder? A herder who spent his evenings reading murder mysteries to his sheep? A herder played by Hugh Jackman? This one is a no-brainer, folks! I am all in for this, and if you are reading this blog, there is a non-trivial chance that you are too.

When Doug showed me this trailer, I thought it was a joke. But, hooray, it looks like it’s the real thing! Who could have guessed that what I needed now was a Babe/Miss Marple mash-up? Even with no sheep, it would have had me with “herder murder”.
I read the book the movie is based on last year. It was wonderful! Can’t wait to see the film.

Read the book, Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann, very clever good mystery story. Absolutely enjoyed it.
